What have I been up to??

Posted on Oct 8th, 2007 by HumanlyPossible : Explorer of possibilities HumanlyPossible

For those of you that have noticed my exstended absense, then I guess I should try and fill you in.  What has been happening? A little bit of everything, and a lot of exploration of who and what I am.  I went on a course called "the brain speaks" (an Upledger CranioSacral therapy course) and it was mind blowing.  I met my own anatomy in ways that I had never explored before, and I sorted out a couple of major emotional issues, that had been "stuck" by putting the microscope on how those emotions were "stored" in my physical anatomy.  I also got to spend some time hanging out with the essence of who I am, and then had to struggle with who I pretend to be most of the time.  I am naturally a very "huge" person, full of life and enthusiasm, I have spent a great deal of my life trying to pretend that I am very much the opposite.  There is so much more to say, but I am not in the space to write an essay!  I will leave you with two fabulous quotes, one I was told was by Albert Einstein;

"There are people that know everything.......... and that is all they know!"

The other was my expanded self answering my question "what is the difference between being this huge amazing person and ego?"

"There is a difference between being who you are, and trying to prove who you are to other people"

What life lesson do you wish you'd learned earlier?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 10, 2007:

That my interpretation of my life IS my life.  In any situation there are a myriad different angles from which to view it.  Which ever one I pick instantly defines my life.  If I choose to be depressed by life, then my life is depressing.  If I choose to find the wonderful complexities in a situation, then my life is full of richness and inspiration.

What's been your path in life?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 15, 2007:

Unbelievable!  When I hear myself describing my life, even I have to sit back sometimes and figure out how I managed to pack so much stuff in, and I remember so many times stuck in the hum drum of life too.  I guess my path has had a great many thorny patches, and yet the sun was shining most of the time.  I am not exactly a trail blazer, but I often walk unusual paths.

I think though that I normally don't consider what the path is like, but how I am walking it.  I constantly aim to walk with my arms wide, and my head up.  It isn't about how life is, but how I am in my life.

The Science of Oneness

The Science of Oneness

I have been slowly making my way through this book for the last few months.  I have read a great many books over the years, and I tend to be a fast reader.  It is only the books that I need to truly ponder and digest that take me this long to read.  It is rare for me to find a book that really feels original, when you have read enough spiritual books, they all start to say the same thing.  But this book is educating me on so many levels, and is, for me, truely unique.

As I am reading then there are so many things that are falling into place, and a constant stream of interesting ponderings as to what is, and what could be.  I have said before that what I like most about the way Malcolm writes is his "sensibleness".  He manages to approach things in such a wonderfully grounded way, and rather than this taking away from the wonder of existence, it expands it.  He doesn't pretend that he knows all the answers, but the angle from which he looks at the questions is both refreshing and educational.
