What have I been up to??

Posted on Oct 8th, 2007 by HumanlyPossible : Explorer of possibilities HumanlyPossible

For those of you that have noticed my exstended absense, then I guess I should try and fill you in.  What has been happening? A little bit of everything, and a lot of exploration of who and what I am.  I went on a course called "the brain speaks" (an Upledger CranioSacral therapy course) and it was mind blowing.  I met my own anatomy in ways that I had never explored before, and I sorted out a couple of major emotional issues, that had been "stuck" by putting the microscope on how those emotions were "stored" in my physical anatomy.  I also got to spend some time hanging out with the essence of who I am, and then had to struggle with who I pretend to be most of the time.  I am naturally a very "huge" person, full of life and enthusiasm, I have spent a great deal of my life trying to pretend that I am very much the opposite.  There is so much more to say, but I am not in the space to write an essay!  I will leave you with two fabulous quotes, one I was told was by Albert Einstein;

"There are people that know everything.......... and that is all they know!"

The other was my expanded self answering my question "what is the difference between being this huge amazing person and ego?"

"There is a difference between being who you are, and trying to prove who you are to other people"

Dear Rachel,

I just saw this post, and it really struck me as very beautiful indeed… especially this:
“There is a difference between being who you are, and trying to prove who you are to other people”

How I connect most to this is when I'd reframe it like this:
“There is a difference between being who you are, and trying to prove who you are to yourself.”

Accepting one's greatness, especially when one has changed one's trajectory which I have done a few times in my life, and most deeply these past 2-3 years,  that is one of the most beautiful challenges in life.

Thanbk you for bringing this to my attention again.

Thanks for bring my attention back here again Mushin, I was starting to creep back towards being a very small person again, and while that may be a comfort zone of sorts then it is also not all that productive.  You are absolutely right in the way you rephrased it, It was amazing to simply let go of trying and find that what is really there, is actually what I have been pushing for all along,a nd the only thing standing in my way is the pushing!
